Hardwood Floor Refinishing
Have your wood floors seen better days? Screening and Recoating can help restore the look of your hardwood floors, remove lite scratches, and restore protection that may be lacking in high traffic areas. Wood floors like all floors require maintenance to keep them looking their best. Professional Cleaning and Refinishing are services that can help maintain your hardwood floors and protect your investment.
Give us a call if you feel your hardwood floors need refinishing or screening and recoating. Polyurethane thins over time and eventually disappears leaving the wood completely exposed. You may begin to notice signs including lack of luster, lite or minor scratches caused by moving furniture, pets, and items being dropped or slid across the floors. High-traffic areas may begin to dull and become dark and unsightly.
Our process is designed to protect and restore the natural beauty to your hardwood floor. We do that through an in-depth cleaning and abrasion process designed to remove the old polyurethane from your floor and prep it for new polyurethane. You will have the option to select the polyurethane sheen for your floor that you like best. Sheens include matte, satin, semi-gloss, and gloss sheens. The process is dustless and can generally be completed in 1 day.

Steps to Restore Your Floors:
-
Prepare the floor making sure it is clean and free from any objects that could damage the floor.
-
We use a rotary machine (175) with a screen or pad designed to remove most of the old polyurethane and slightly abrade the floor. This abrasion process preps the floor for the new polyurethane we will be applying.
-
Vacuum up any dust and contaminants from the floor.
-
Clean and Tack the floor
-
Apply the first coat of new polyurethane to the floor (we will then let that dry for about 1-2 hours).
-
Apply the second coat of polyurethane to your floor.
